By the time you read this - unless you’re sitting at your computer manically refreshing our page, waiting for me to post again - we’ll be less than 24 hours from the October Second Saturday! We love Second Saturdays here, for any number of reasons, but this one is particularly exciting. For the first time in months, we’ll be selling arts and crafts here at la galeria! From about 4pm onward, there will be artists and artisans in multiple media set up with their wares in our Second Space. Everyone from Juanishi Orosco to Tasha - of the slowly closing Tasha’s Uncommon Shop - will have great gifts for you to get a jump on your holiday gift shopping!
Moving forward, I’m very happy to be able to publicize our new docent tour schedule! We’ve had a number of people come in to the gallery, whether for school projects or their own edification, and we decided that you all should get the benefit of being able to ask questions of folks who actually know what they’re talking about, as opposed to having to suffice for my halfway-answers.
So, with that in mind, Thursdays and Fridays in October, from 4 to 6pm, we’ll have educators here at the gallery to answer any and all questions you may have about our current exhibition. On October Saturdays, collector Larry Hoover will be in the house from 1 to 6pm, so save your really in-depth questions for him.
