Sorry if you tried to find us on these here internets yesterday, we had a couple pipeline issues, but it’s been resolved. The sad thing about going down yesterday was that I didn’t get a chance to let you know about the film screening we had…

Yep! the Luis Buñuel, Cannes Film Festival Palm d’Or winning film Nazarin. We had a marvelous introduction by our good friend and film series curator Dr. Fred Dobb, who provided a wonderful bit of context and commentary on Mr. Buñuel and the film, and, thank goodness, stuck around at the end to help everyone figure out just exactly what happened??? at the end.

as you can see, he’s quite an engaging speaker.

But if you missed out on last night, you haven’t completely missed out! We’re screening another film tonight, 7pm, here at La Galeria (1022-1024 22nd St, Sac, CA 95816). And it’s not just any other film, it’s another Buñuel classic, the sexy and surreal Subida Al Cielo (called Ascent to Heaven in English).

So yeah, don’t miss it!
