Lorraine García-Nakata

Lorraine García-Nakata was born in the central valley town of Yuba City, California. The 1960’s helped to shape what was to become of her artistic and professional work. She is a recognized visual artist and has exhibited since 1965 on a local, regional, national and international level.
Working a range of visual arts mediums, she is noted for her large-scale works on paper and canvas as well as mixed media, printmaking, installation work, ceramics and sculpture.

One of six RCAF original muralists, she painted the highly recognized and historical South Side Mural located in Sacramento, California.

Artist: Felipe Dávalos December 4 - Jan 25, 2009
A native of Mexico City, Felipe Dávalos has long been involved with visual communication projects through his work as regular contributor to major newspapers and to magazines such as the National Geographic. His experience researching the visual and symbolic languages of pre-Columbian cultures (Teotihuacan, Olmecs, Mayas, Mixtecs and Aztecs) informs most of his work.
He is the illustrator of numerous books for children, including Secret Stars, winner of the 2000 Pura Belpré Illustrator Honor Award.
