La Raza Galería Posada is bringing another important holiday tradition to Sacramento with the Mercado Navideño/Holiday Marketplace. The Holiday Marketplace will transport visitors to a traditional Mercado in Mexico with holiday music, lights, and piñatas. Shoppers can visit over fifteen unique vendors stands.

“This is a market place filled with local and handmade artisan goods—direct from the artists and independent designers” notes Janelle Lacayo, organizer. Fifteen+ artisans will exhibit their goods, priced from $3-$300. “The Mercado helps the artists, the Galería and those looking to avoid the crowded malls and instead support local crafts people. This is real job-creating marketplace!” said Lacayo.

Jewelry, spa/skin-care/soaps, Aztec mask miniatures, glass art ornaments, hand-cut baked vegetable chips, knitted goods, silk-screened prints and photography will all be offered for sale. Hot chocolate and snacks will be served on weekends during the new expanded hours.*
