Buenas, gente!

Just wanted to give a huge thanks - and rub it in the noses of you all who missed it - to Martha Ramirez-Oropeza for her wonderful lecture on The Octopec Mestizo Tradition: La Novenaria, Nine Days of Fireworks and Rosaries. We had a packed house and everyone was so enraptured by her talk that we didn’t stop ’till 9pm! Do please click below for more photos and information on upcoming sugar skull and mask making workshops!

Buenas tardes!

We here at La Raza Galeria Posada love to see our name, whether it’s in lights, in print, or on your screen, in bits and bytes. We’re also fans of cross-promotion, and on top of it all, we’re certainly fans of Jessie Aguierre, who’s got a show of new work up at the University Union Gallery at Sac State. He was good enough to shout us out in an interview he did for the State Hornet, so we figured we’d return the favor.

I should also use this opportunity to remind folks to SIGN UP NOW for the Martha Ramirez-Oropeza lecture and our EL SANTO SUPERESTRELLA week-long film series! Space is limited, the events are cooler than polar bears toenails and if you don’t make it, you’ll wish you did.

Whoop, gotta run. Phone’s ringing off the hook! Spaces are filling up fast! Seriously!
